This course is designed for the practical worker, either for working on your own structure, or to add a skill for those already in the building trades. This course is focused on both 'classroom learning' (taken online or in workbook), as well as practical experience (see testing times and locations). Each unit may be taken as a stand alone, and certification will indicate level of achieved competency. Courses are offered in succesive order, and must be passed to proceed to the 'hands-on' clinics. Academic skills are combined with vocational training throughout the instructional materials. Information measuring student performance gains and required criteria for a competency-based education program are included for self-review.
